Toilet Survival Guide

Updates will now be temporarily bolded

This is for those who want an efficient restaurant, but are now confused by the "Toilet Crisis"
First of all, STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT TOILETS
IF it was one of the original features, no one would be complaining, the developers are just trying to add more depth and strategy to how to manage a restaurant. In fact, I'm expecting other jobs to be released in the near future.

Now, if you pay attention to the customers who need toilets, they do NOT give you a thumbs down! Having toilets and a cleaner is OPTIONAL! You do not need them to survive, although they may help. I think the toilets are just helping with the 50 pop cap. It helps lower your cap to a level where you are serving your max, but losing less.

Tips and Tricks:

1. Do not care about customers asking for toilets!
The customers only ask for toilets after you've been paid and received your gourmet points

2. Don't care about slight drop in popularity!
As long as your cooks are all working, you are still serving your maximum
If they are not working at full time, minimize walls, make more efficient layouts, and use waiting chairs. You want to replace customers as quick as possible
If you are losing popularity because you are not satisfying enough customers to replace the leaving customers. DON'T worry, you aren't serving any less! Although an arcade or two could help.

3. Dragging toilets in/out of your inventory cleans them.
If you are really desperate for toilets (heh that sounds so weird), you can buy a bunch and drag them in and out ever 10-20 minutes

4. Those who wish to have toilets. Either, sacrifice the extra points and money (which I highly discourage) to hire a full time cleaner, or temporarily change a cook to a cleaner ever few minutes (For those with 5 employees and don't think a 4 cook to 1 waiter works for them, they can use 3:1:1 as you do not need 2 waiters for 3 cooks)

5. The more toilets you have, the longer they will last!
1 toilet lasts 4 uses
2 toilets lasts 8 uses
5 toilets lasts 20 uses
10 toilets lasts 40 uses
If you are willing to devote a lot of money to this, you can buy a large number of toilets and drag them in/out of your inventory ever 10-20 minutes

6.Those who wish to have a cleaner over night and close the game should NOT, it seems that customers only use toilets while you are in the restaurant. It is best to just have 1-2 cooks + a waiter for the 2000 coins
Toilets are also cleaned automatically if you quit and reopen the game.
Those who want to keep the restaurant game open should make a cook a semipermanent and remove 2-3 tables. (If you have 5 employees you can just use 3:1:1 as stated above.

7. For those of you too lazy to turn your toilets manually, toilets turn automatically to face tables when placed next to them

8. Those of you with lazy cleaners, just give them another job, and make them cleaner again. They should begin to clean toilets again immediately

9. You do not need toilets when you are not in your restaurant!
Customers only use toilets when you are in your restaurant

Toilet Placement:
It seems that toilet placement does not matter as toilets only fill up after 4 uses and there is usually no line up as long as you have at least 2 toilets
However, it would be advised (if you are using a cleaner rather than dragging toilets in/out of your inventory) to keep them close together so it will be easier on your cleaner.
If you have a bad connection and want to reduce lag, it would be best to place toilets in between your tables and the door to get the customers out ASAP and reduce lag.
Those of you tight for space may want to placing toilets beside tables. It may not look great to have someone doing their business right beside someone eating, it may save valuable space which could be used for waiting chairs, arcades, or even decoration.

Yet to be confirmed:

Myths:
You receive no Gourmet Points without toilets
- Not True, as in real life, your cooking proficiency is not determined by your toilet scrubbing prowess
You receive a thumbs down without toilets
- Not True, you still get the points, but your customers don't give any popularity as they are rushing out to go to the nearest public washroom
You get one coin from cleaning toilets
- Not True, your customers are not caring enough to tip the cleaner :'(
You need sinks:
- Not True, Sinks are just for decorations/extra animations, you don't need them, but you can help stop the swine flu =)

Well, I found a way to NOT have toilets and NOT have demerits on your popularity. Here's how:

1) Have only 1 door
2) have a single path leading from door; you can place several arcades along the way
3) place a seat at the end of the path
4) Tada!

The reason it works is that after consuming a meal, your customers 'disappear' instead of walking out or looking for toilets. Effectively, you have no demand for toilets.

would love to post pic if host allows.
